First 10 Negotiated Drug Prices – Visual

 In Uncategorized

Great visual on the new prices for the first 10 high cost drugs included in the Medicare Price Negotiations. Keep in mind, one the negotiated prices take effect, these drug are no longer eligible for the Manufacturers Discount Program.

Colleagues across HHS, CMS and beyond have worked tirelessly to make the promise of drug price negotiation in Medicare a reality, and today is a major milestone in that pursuit. Americans of all stripes have agreed for years that we shouldn’t be paying more than other countries for the same prescription drugs. Because of President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act–and Vice President Harris’s tiebreaking vote to pass it–American taxpayers are expected to save $6 billion on prescription drug costs, and people enrolled in Medicare are expected to save $1.5 billion in out-of-pocket costs in 2026 alone. Years of work, paying off for millions of Americans.
